A Story That Started by Accident
In 2012, at 29, Ryan never planned to run an art gallery. With a background in songwriting and music, art dealing seemed worlds away. But sometimes the best stories begin with unexpected turns.
What started as a small venture in Stellenbosch with his father's help quickly became something much more meaningful. Ryan discovered that his natural storytelling ability—honed through years of songwriting—created an instant connection with artists and their creative journeys.
More Than Just a Gallery
From those early days, we've never operated like a traditional gallery. While others work on consignment, we invest our own money upfront in the artists we believe in. When we select a piece for our collection, we're not just displaying it—we're backing it with our reputation and resources.
This approach shows our artists something powerful: we don't just believe in their work enough to hang it on our walls, we believe in it enough to invest our own capital. That confidence becomes part of every piece we sell.
Weathering the Storm
Our journey hasn't always been smooth. In 2020, COVID nearly ended everything we'd built. Like many small businesses, we faced the real possibility of closing our doors forever. But our commitment to the artists who depend on us—and the collectors who trust us—kept us fighting.
With the help of a business partner who joined us in 2023, we not only survived but emerged stronger. Today, we're proudly located at the prestigious Avondale Wine Estate in Paarl, where wine country meets world-class art.

We're drawn to self-taught artists who break conventional rules and pour raw emotion into their work. Their stories of late-life artistic awakenings, young emerging talent finding their voice, and established artists continuing to evolve—these narratives become part of what you take home.

We're honored to exclusively represent talents like Solly Manthata, whose work captures the soul of South Africa. We've shared studio space with artists like Harry Erasmus, witnessing firsthand the limitless creativity that flows when artists feel truly supported.
