Jeanne Marais Pretorius: Crafting Life's Palette

Jeanne Marais, now Jeanne Pretorius, blossomed in a nurturing childhood, where the seeds of her remarkable talent were sown. Today, she stands as a dynamic, self-taught artist of boundless versatility.

Her artistry is a tapestry of exclusive and unique female figure studies, yet her prowess extends gracefully into various other themes. With a masterful command of color, she paints vibrant landscapes and cityscapes that pulse with dramatic intensity. For the past 13 years, she has wielded the brush and palette knife with finesse in her exploration of oils.

Jeanne's oeuvre has graced three remarkable solo exhibitions (2010, 2012, & 2015), and her works find homes in galleries across Pretoria, Hartebeespoort, Clarens, and beyond. Her international clientele bears testimony to the timeless allure of her creations.

Nestled in Centurion, South Africa, Jeanne shares her life with her husband Louis and their two daughters. In her own words, "The real advantage of my career as an artist is being in the fortunate position to do what I love for a living!" Her art embodies that love, enriching lives with every stroke of her brush.
