Gaynor was born in 1947 and is an impressionist who works mostly in oils. Although she doesn’t live in the Western Cape, her themes capture the beautiful history, vibrancy and scenery of the Cape. She has become well known for her famous Cape harbor scenes, District 6 and Bo Kaap themes. She also captures the beauty of the mediterranean in her European themed works and her naive depictions of bustling cafe’s make her an artist who appeals to many different cultures and tastes.
